Join The Clubhouse at The Playhouse Gang each month as they dramatize a favorite story using only their imaginations and the costume pieces and props they find in their Magic Trunk. Johnny Appleseed

“Hi-ho the apple-o, we will plant a tree!” Johnny
Chapman planted apple trees seeds all over the United
States. He planted so many trees, in fact, that everyone
calls him Johnny Appleseed. Join us as we tell tales -
some true, some tall - about this American folk hero.

The Vanishing Pumpkin

“Where is my pumpkin? I want some pumpkin pie!”
Who stole the pumpkin from the pumpkin patch?
An old man and woman have a hankering for some
pumpkin pie, but they have no pumpkin! Join them as
they encounter a strange assortment of characters in their quest to find the culprit. It's an autumn whodunit!

A Tiger, a Tune and a Trickster's Tale
April 11, 2008
“Nine in one, nine in one. Grrr, grrr!” Tiger happily
returns from the great spirit Shao, who has told her
she will have nine baby tigers every year, as long as
she remembers his words, “Nine in one.” Bird would
rather not live in a world full of tigers, and sets out to
trick Tiger into forgetting her very important song!

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

“Somebody has been lying in my bed. And she’s still
there!” Goldilocks has been very naughty. She has
eaten the bears’ porridge, broken their chairs and all of

Showtimes
- One story is performed each month
during the school year.
- Shows are performed on Fridays at
9:30 AM, 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM.
- Shows are about 45 minutes long.
- All Friday Funday programs are
performed at The Playhouse.

Tickets
- Tickets are $5.00 for adults and
children of any age.
- Groups and individuals may reserve
tickets in advance for any show.
- Individual children (those not with a class or group) must be accompanied by an adult.
- Groups of 10 or more must be paid 21 days in advance of the show, or tickets will be released.
- Non-group reservations must be paid at the time of reservation.
- If seats are available, individual tickets will be sold at the door. However, seating is
limited and reservations are recommended.
- To make reservations, call The Playhouse ticket office at 515-277-6261, toll-free 1-877-862-5621.
- Please Note! These programs are specifically planned
for the attention spans and
interests of 4-6 year olds. It is recommended that infants and
toddlers wait until the experience would
be meaningful to them.

If the Des Moines Schools are cancelled because of inclement weather on a Friday Funday date, the show will be cancelled. Otherwise, the show goes on! For
information regarding weather-related
