House Managers
House Managers are responsible for Front of House before, during, and after a performance. Everything in front of the stage is considered Front of House. This includes the auditorium and lobby area. They may work one or more performances during the run of the production. The House Manager is required to arrive one hour prior to curtain and stay until all patrons leave after the performance. This person will coordinate and supervise the ushers, ticket takers and concession workers. The House Manager duties include checking with the Stage Manager to find out when to open the theatre doors, locking the lobby doors during the performance, checking the theatre for tidiness, and being available for any seating problems. The House Manager will take tickets as the patrons enter the theatre. After the production starts this person will sort, count and record the ticket stubs for the show. After the show, the House Manager is required to make sure all patrons have left the theatre. This person is responsible for locking the lobby doors and getting the concessions money and ticket stubs to the box office. House managers will be responsible for directing emergency assistance personnel and procedures.
Time Requirement: 1 hour prior to curtain time until the end of the performance and all patrons have left the theatre; 1 or more
performances.

Ticket Takers
Ticket Takers greet the patrons as they enter the theatre. They will tear tickets, and assist with concession sales at intermission. The Ticket Takers have the opportunity to see the show after all patrons have been seated. After the show, they will make sure the theatre is presentable and ready for the next performance.
Time Requirement: 1 hour prior to curtain time until the end of the
performance; 1 or more performances

Ushers
Ushers greet the patrons, help them find their seats, and hand out programs. These people have the opportunity to see the show after all patrons have been seated. If there are any late arrivals, it will be the responsibility of the Ushers to seat them at an appropriate time, as quietly as possible. Ushers assist with the concessions during intermission. After the show, they make sure the theatre is presentable and ready for the next performance. Many Ushers volunteer with friends or family members. Ushers will assist to ensure patrons are comfortable. There are a minimum of six Ushers per performance.
Time Requirement: 1 hour prior to curtain time until the end of the
performance; 1 or more performances

Concessions Crew

Opening Night Receptions
Opening night performances on the mainstage are followed by receptions for our patrons, cast and crew. We are looking for people who would be interested in planning and setting up these receptions. They may be very simple, with cookies and punch, or cheese, crackers and wine. The theme may be based on the play, such as Christmas cookies for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.
Time Requirement: As much time as needed to plan, prepare, set up and clean up after the reception.
