Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. A bevy of beautiful showgirls, catapulting cows, killer rabbits, and French people are just a few of the reasons audiences eat up Spamalot, winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical. Find your grail at the Des Moines Community Playhouse!

  • Audiences are encouraged to come to the theatre 30 minutes prior to curtain for a preshow talk with Monty Python’s Spamalot artistic staff. Preshow talks are held in the upper lobby.
  • The performances on Sunday, July 26, and Saturday, Aug. 8, will have live audio description, provided by IRIS. Please contact our ticket office at 515-277-6261 if you would like to use this free service. ASL interpreted performances available with advance notice.
