The Boxcar Children

Generations of readers have cherished the adventures of The Boxcar Children and now their stories come to life onstage! Follow orphan siblings Henry, Jessie, Violet and Benny as they run away from foster care to make a home for themselves in an abandoned railroad boxcar. They eventually meet their grandfather, who supports and cares for them. Through the rewards and perils of life on the run in the Depression era, they hold true to their motto: “We stick together like glue.”
The Boxcar Children also explores the themes of personal integrity, maturity, and making do with what you have. In tough economic times, these siblings begin to appreciate the things in life that cannot be bought, like the generosity and kindness of friends, family and strangers.
