Two Ways to Give that Benefit the Contributor

Gifts in the form of common stocks, securities, or real estate which have appreciated in value can often provide you with attractive tax benefits. In such cases, capital gains tax on long-term holdings may be eliminated, and you may be able to claim the full market value of the gift as a tax deduction at year’s end.

In addition to supporting the Playhouse’s annual fund, planned or deferred gifts are an effective option for those individuals who, for both personal and tax purposes, wish to establish a long-term method of payment.

Double Your Impact with Matching Gifts

Many area employers match the tax-deductible contributions of their employees dollar-for-dollar, making your gift go further. Some employers also match volunteer hours with cash contributions. To find out if your employer has a matching gift program, contact your human resources department.
