Make a Difference at The Playhouse

Ticket prices cover less than 65% of the cost of producing our shows. The rest of our support comes from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and patrons, audience members, and volunteers like you.

Your gift to The Playhouse supports:

  • More than 200 live performances each year
  • Theatre education for 1,000 disadvantaged students through Spotlight: Literacy
  • 1,800 youth in theatre classes, workshops, and summer camps
  • 4,000 tickets for youths who can’t afford to attend productions
  • 750 volunteers to develop and showcase their talents

Your gift makes it possible for The Playhouse to be more than a theatre to more than 55,000 people each year.

We understand you have a wide range of interests, so we offer several opportunities to share your appreciation for The Playhouse and our programming.

Matching Gifts

Many corporations provide matching donation programs. These provide employees the opportunity to make a single gift to a charity of their choice with the employer also contributing to the organizations. Your single gift now has a greater impact at The Playhouse. Ask your employer if they have a matching gift program.

Our corporate partners play a vital role producing theatrical and educational experiences at The Playhouse. Whether it’s royalties, set construction, or costuming, corporate support helps offset the initial costs of production. In return, our corporate partners are offered a variety of benefits and marketing exposure.

For more information about show and programming sponsorship, please contact Chris Andersen, director of philanthropy, at 515.974.5370.

Thank you to our generous corporate and foundation partners!
