Work with Playhouse staff and prop design experts and explore how to be a props designer. We will also talk about the process and expectations of being a production team member at The Playhouse. Finish out the night creating props with us and practicing tips and tricks.

This is for anyone interested in stage managing at The Playhouse from novice to expert. We will review and teach basic skills needed from auditions through strike and then break into discussion groups based on the needs of the group. Those attending the workshop will be considered for stage manager and assistant stage manager openings in the 2024-25 season.

Playhouse staff and local directors will offer tips and training for anyone interested in improving their audition skills. We will use materials from shows in the upcoming season to practice signing up for auditions and using Casting Manager, how to assess what roles you are best for, cold readings, preparing sides, choosing audition songs, and more. There will be time for Q & A and to break into groups based on the needs of the attendees. All ages are welcome.
