Fences

Onyx Script Reading Series focuses on scripts that illuminate black voices. Hosted by actor/director Miriam Randolph, it will be held the first Tuesday and third Sunday of the month. Actors will read from scripts; there are no costumes or scenery pieces.

 

Troy Maxson is a former Negro Leagues standout who was denied access to a career in the majors. As his son pursues his dream of playing college football, tensions build among Troy and his family. Fences by August WIlson is the sixth in his Pittsburgh Cycle.
