Singin’ in the Rain

Hollywood, California, 1927. Silent movies are becoming a thing of the past and “talkies” are all the rage. Audiences expect beautiful actresses have voices to match, so when Monumental Studios’ biggest star, Lina Lamont, is found lacking vocally, something must be done. With timeless music and dancing – and a song guaranteed to “make ’em laugh” – audiences will have that glorious feeling akin to singing in the rain.

On Friday, Mar. 13, 2020, Singin’ in the Rain took to the stage to the delight of audiences. On Mar. 15, the show closed for what was hoped to be just a two-week delay. Now, two years later, The Playhouse is pleased to reunite much of the cast and creative team to remount the original 2020 production.

Please join us in the West Lobby 30 minutes prior to each curtain for a pre-show talk presented by Playhouse staff.
