Alice in Wonderland

There’s only one way out of Wonderland. Alice, a curious girl who plunges down a rabbit hole, travels through an unpredictable world where animals dress up and talk, food can make one a giant, and a corrupt Queen tries to get rid of anyone who crosses her. Based on the books by Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland is about how it feels to be young in the strange and ridiculous world of adults.

Based on the books by Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland is about how it feels to be young in the strange and ridiculous world of adults.

The Playhouse cast includes Abigail Burns, Chloe Coffman, Kasey Dunifer, John Flotho, Michael Howland, Aditya Iyengar, Conor McMahon, Julia Neighbors, Venya Pillai, Ava Pourian, Katie Saldanha, Benny Stieber, Charlie Syverson, Oliver Thrun, Libby Waterbury, Ellie Wharff, and Lisa Wiggins.. Alice in Wonderland is directed by Katy Merriman with scenic design by Nicholas Amundson, costume design by Angela Lampe, and lighting design by Virgil Kleinhesselink.

The Playhouse mission, as one of Iowa's largest and oldest producing theatres, is to create extraordinary, shared experiences through live theatre. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
